Live View lets operators, customer teams, and partner teams watch a vehicle in real time from OEC.
Use it when you need to understand what is happening on a vehicle right now, verify an incident, or support operations without waiting for a recording export.
- checking an active incident or alarm
- verifying what is happening on a specific vehicle
- supporting traffic control or security staff
- confirming camera coverage before reviewing recorded footage
Make sure:
- the vehicle is online and connected
- your account has permission to open the vehicle and its cameras
- you know which vehicle you want to inspect
- Open the relevant vehicle in OEC.
- Go to the video or camera section for that vehicle.
- Select
Live View.
- Wait for the camera streams to load.

If live video does not start, first confirm that the vehicle is online and that the affected cameras are available.
When Live View opens, focus on:
- whether all expected cameras are available
- whether video is updating in real time
- whether the image quality is good enough for the task
- whether you need to switch to playback for earlier events
- note the vehicle identity and the current time
- record which cameras were useful
- switch to playback if you need earlier context or evidence
- contact support if the stream is missing, delayed, or unavailable on multiple vehicles
Use playback rather than live view when you need to:
- review something that has already happened
- pause and inspect frames more carefully
- compare several recorded sequences
- prepare evidence or reports
