Before you can open live video, playback, or reports, you need to open the correct vehicle in OEC.
The fastest way to find the right vehicle is to start with one or more of these:
- vehicle number or fleet id
- registration number
- garage or depot
- approximate time of the event
- customer or operating area

- Start with the most reliable identifier, usually the vehicle number.
- Narrow the result using garage, depot, or customer area if needed.
- Open the vehicle and confirm its status and identifiers.
- Continue to live view, playback, or reports depending on your task.
Before you spend time reviewing video, check:
- vehicle id
- garage or depot
- registration number if available
- latest report time or online status
- that the expected cameras or devices are present
Use the event context to narrow down the result:
- which depot operated the vehicle
- which date and time the incident happened
- whether the vehicle was expected to be online
- whether you need a specific camera setup or reporting profile
Check:
- you are in the correct customer or traffic area
- the vehicle name or number was entered correctly
- your account has access to that part of the fleet
- the vehicle has already been onboarded into OEC
If the vehicle still cannot be found, contact Support and include the identifiers you searched for.
